Here's this week's top five club picks from The Som Show, as appears in the Entertainment Spokane weekly e-newsletter (sign up).

7th Annual Ballers Ball - The place to be if you want to go post-Hoopfest clubbing is The Knitting Factory Concert House, 919 W. Sprague Ave. There''ll be go go dancers, drink specials, and house DJ's rockin' the ones and twos. Come early on Saturday, June 26. Cost: $10, $15 after 11 p.m., 21 and older only.

 

2nd Annual Com(passion) Benefit - Koreshakti Tribal Fusion is putting together a dance party of a completely different kind. The 2nd Annual Com(passion) Benefit is a two-day superhero/supervillain themed belly dancing performance, followed by a goth industrial dance party. The show happens Friday and Saturday, June 25 and 26. Both parties start at 8 p.m. The Platform Presents event was moved from the Sunset Junction to the larger A Club, 406 1/2 W. Sprague Ave. Cost: $10 for each night for the show and dance afterparty, or $2 doe the dance party only. Proceeds go to The Physician's Committee For Responsible Medicine. 

 

Cirque de la Soul - As unique as the Koreshakti show may be, it's not the only belly dancing performance happening this weekend. Former members of Koreshakti are  part of a Cirque de Soleil-style production called Cirque de la Soul. It features belly dance-tribal fusion performers, vertical pole dancing acrobatics and aerial silks. Presented by Goddess Arts Academy, the show happens at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 25, at Stage 54, 25 E. Lincoln. Cost: $6, full bar with ID.

 

Amber Pacific - Victory Records post-emo-core band Amber Pacific got it's humble starts in Federal Way, and is now headlining national tours, this time in support of a new album, "Virtues." Hear songs from the new album live when Amber Pacific anchors an all ages show on Friday, June 25, at 5 p.m. at The Seaside, 230 W. Riverside Ave. Cost: $10 in advance, $12 at the door.

 

Do or Die - Hip-hop fans will remember this rap trio from collaborations with Twista, world fastest rapper according to Guinness Book of World Records. They've also established an impressive resume on their own from becoming one of the best selling acts on Scarface's Rap-A-Lot Records. Do or Die appears Saturday, June 26, at 5 p.m. at The Seaside, 230 W. Riverside. Cost: $25, all ages welcome.
