The outdoor summer concert series powered by The Som Show kicks off Saturday with a special acoustic performance by four-time Sommy winner, jazz-pop sensation Mon Cheri. The Som Show patio parties are back with a quiet and respectful vengeance all summer long. Enjoy Rocket Market's top-shelf selections of beer and wine and the interstellar delectables at Rocket's Jupiter Bistro during the summer music series re-launch with Mon Cheri at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, at Rocket Market, 726 E. 43rd. Local Natives - One of the most blogged about bands of the year so far, buzzy worldly folk rockers Local Natives pay a visit to Spokane before making an appearance at the Gorge for the Sasquatch! Music Festival. See what all the hype is about at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, at Empyrean Coffee House, 171 S. Washington St. Cost: To be announced.

 

Anadonia - Local bands from Spokane's fledgling experimental scene take their turn at rocking the big house. Featuring Anadonia with Monuments, Bodhi Drip, and Bunkdoozy, it will be a night of odd time signatures and sprawling instrumentals, starting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 21, at The Knitting Factory Concert House, 919 W. Sprague Ave. Cost: $7.

 

Tech N9ne - Regarded as one of the best selling indie acts of any genre, juggalo hip-hop specialist Tech N9ne returns with his merry men of mayhem, with support from Brotha Lynch Hung, Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Big Scoob, Prozac, Cognito and former Spokie, Knothead, at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 20 at The Knitting Factory Concert House, 919 W. Sprague Ave. Cost: $26 in advance, $28.50 day of show.

 

Fear Factory - With a quasi-new lineup highlighted by the return of founding guitarist Dino Cazares, Fear Factory is back in effect with a new album, "Mechanize." See the latest incarnation of this metal veteran act at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, at The Knitting Factory Concert House, 919 W. Sprague Ave. Tickets: $20.
