Portrait of a Gentleman - Indie-experimental outfit Portrait of Gentleman releases its new album with help from bedroom-psychedelic-electronica project Paper Astronomer at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, at Empyrean Coffee House, 171 S. Washington St. Cost: $7.

Locke - Rapper, deejay and party promoter Locke is moving to Korea soon so catch his final night behind the wheels of steel in a special Whammy Wednesday showcase presented by The Som Show tonight at 9 p.m. at Sunset Junction, 1801 W. Sunset Blvd. Cost: Free.
