Inlander writer Jordy Byrd featured Flying Spiders in this week's Inlander, previewing our upcoming shows this weekend.

In the article, Byrd writes: "The stage show is just as impressive as the lineup. The group's solid hip-hop beats marinate in the full ensemble of instruments, creating both a visually complex live performance and musically buoyant show. Themes of religion, black culture and education weave in and out of the groove..."

Flying Spiders headline the 1rst Anniversary of BeGin on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, 2316 W. First Ave. The event is free, all ages welcome.

On Saturday Flying Spiders share a bill with Diamond Speedboat at 9 p.m. at The A Club, 406 1/2 W. Sprague Ave. Cost: $5 (hit me for free tix - thesomshow@gmail.com), 21 and older only.
