Just a quick headsup that ticket are on sale now for Blitzen Trapper, which comes June 2 to The Knitting Factory Concert House.

Tickets for the show are a measly $12 in advance and $14 day of show, available through TicketsWest.

The Portland indie-rock outfit is touring in support of its forthcoming album, "Destroyer of the Void," which is relaesed on June 8 on Sub Pop Records.

"Destroyer..." is expected to be a departure from last year's "Furr," as Blitzen Trapper turns to more Beatles-esque aesthetics (any album with the word "destroyer" in the title is bound for promise).

Check the mp3 section on The Som Show front page to hear "Heave And Earth," from the new album. It's a piano ballad with orchestral strings that is sure to catch fans unawares.
